Brayden Langdon placed 11th overall (22:23) and Rylee Byrne and Dylann Carey rounded out the top 7 for the girls.

“I was really proud of our kids today. We had an extremely competitive race on Saturday in very tough conditions, so to come back on a Tuesday night and fight this hard was exciting. We started to see some of our potential tonight as our pack time is slowly closing. The kids fought through some tired and dead legs tonight. That will go a long way in making us better over the next month or so. I have a great group of kids that are really coach-able so tonight was fun to watch. We will enjoy this for a day or so and then get right back at it.”

The Crestview HS Cross Country teams competed in the 50th running of the Tiffin Carnival on Saturday.

The Lady Knights were paced by Ragen Harting’s 36th place finish out of 346 varsity runners. She was followed across the finish line by teammates Emily Greulach (PR) , Lauren Walls (PR), Lizzie Bowen, and Savannah Smith.

The boys team placed 27th out of 35 teams in their race. Wyatt Richardson was the first Knight to cross the finish line. He was followed by Dayton Schuerman, Danil Lichtensteiger, Jacob Forwerck (PR) and Brian Myers.

Crestview will race next Saturday in the Galion CC Festival.

The Lincolnview Lancer cross country teams competed in the Wildcat Classic on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday. Both of the teams competed in the Elite race, running against some of the top schools in the state of Indiana.

The boys placed 9th overall as a team and the girls placed 10th. The boys were led by two medalists in Alek Bowersock (10th) and Karter Tow (33rd). They were followed by teammates Devon Bill, Jacob Keysor, Joe Sadowski, Collin Puckett, and Sam Wolfrum. The boys are currently ranked #10 in the latest State Coach Poll.

The girls were again led by Sophomore Madison Langdon who placed 41st overall. She was followed by teammates Victoria Snyder, Madeline Snyder, Julia Stetler, Rylee Byrne, Brayden Langdon, and Dylann Carey. The girls are currently ranked #13 in the latest State Coach Poll.

“It was a really fun day for us. The Wildcat Classic is an incredible meet run by Indiana Wesleyan University and the competition is the toughest that we will see all year. The course was half under water and one of the muddiest I have ever seen, but it made for a fun experience for the kids. I really liked how hard we raced and fought. That is going to translate really well down the road. This was our best team race for both the boys and the girls.”
