ST. MARYS — The Van Wert boys track team has won the Western Buckeye League championship. The Cougars had a total score of 115, which was nearly 20 points higher than the second place Defiance. 1st place finishers include, Blake Henry (high jump), Austin Clay (discus), boys 4x400m (Connor Pratt, Henry, Jackson and Ethan Brown), Jacob Hart (200m) and boys 4x200m (Ethan Brown, Henry, Jackson and Hart).

The girls finished 8th with a score of 40. Defiance won with a score of 93.

Kirsten Clay won the girls shot put, while Jill Gemmer finished second in the same event.
