DEFIANCE - Josh Recker shot a 73 and Ryan Klausing added a 77 as the Kalida Wildcats easily won the Paulding Boys Golf Invitational Thursday afternoon at Auglaize Golf Course outside of Defiance.

The Wildcats won the title with a team score of 316 to cruise past second place Antwerp’s 335. Bryan finished third with a 340 with Wayne Trace (345) and Napoleon (348) completing the top five schools.

Wauseon (357), Tinora (361), Swanton (362), Montpelier (365), Delphos Jefferson (369), Paulding (373), Fairview (394), Delta (409), Archbold (420), Holgate (436), Patrick Henry (443) and Liberty Center (459) completed the list of schools.

David Peck added an 81 for Kalida with Grace Miller carding an 85 and Alec Edelbrock chipping in an 88. Justin Siebeneck also had a 90 for the Wildcats.

Austin Lichty paced the Archers with a 77 while Jake Eaken recorded an 80 and Eric Thornell had an 84. Jayvin Landers (94), Chase Friend (99) and Gaige McMichael (103) were the other Archer scorers.

Wayne Trace was paced by Kaden Sutton with a 78 and Dane Moore finished with an 85. Completing the list of Raider players were Reid Miller (90), Cale Crosby (92), Evan Crosby (98) and Garrett Williamson (110).

Delphos Jefferson golfers included Logan Gallmeier (78), Braxton Scalf (86), Brady Johnston (88), John Pseeicos (110), Jaden Lucas (117) and Caden Schrader (123).

Kolson Egnor was the low scorer for Paulding with an 85 and Hailey Hartzell chipped in a 91. Kyle Dominique (97), Noah Pessefall (100), Josh Carper (103) and Kyle Mobley (119) were the remaining Panther players.
